My story is one that began with prayer.
As we got closer to the camp date, I personally felt a little down with our ministry. I serve in a very difficult area, but most of the time it’s rewarding. However, with this year’s camp, I didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived I felt the need to really put forth the effort with the theme this year and have more fun than ever with it.
I took Paul’s experience and the story of Robinson Crusoe and used them to show examples of each day’s lessons. The kids liked it, but more importantly, I personally saw them begin to understand the Gospel. The first full day we were there, we had one girl come to know Christ! Then on Thursday, those who realized they did not know Christ all came with questions, and 3 more entered the Kingdom!
That’s a tidalwave!
Since we’ve been home, I’ve talked with two others who are wanting to know more. God is continuing to allow Holy Spirit to work in these kids’ lives and I’m thankful CentriKid gives me such an opportunity to help the kids focus on what’s most important. Thank you for providing the atmosphere for God’s tidalwave!
