Group Leaders from CentriKid are so great at sharing ministry stories with us. Here is another one from Jenni, a group leader in Georgia. She said:
We had an awesome week at CentriKid. Some times I think the kids just remember OMC, playing in the rain, catching cheeseballs in their mouth (and other late night antics), Rec, and all the other fun stuff. But, this year I had two parents come and talk to me about conversations they had with their children after we had returned. One was a family of nine that has just been informed they will be transferring to another city. The Mom has a lot of mixed emotions and was a little down. After the Mom voiced some concerns, her oldest daughter that attended CentriKid told her about learning that God always provides and that He provides forgiveness, calling, and enough and that they would just have to trust that He would provide for their family. This was such an encouragement to the Mom.
The other conversation was from a Mom that said her daughter overheard a conversation about a family friend that is having to take a stand for her Christian beliefs and this daughter said “it sounds like Abby is going to be like Queen Esther.” So glad that we came to camp and that the kids were paying attention during Bible Study and Worship and remember far more than just the fun times!! Thank you for all you do to make CentriKid possible.
God definitely Provides! We love to celebrate with you guys, so keep on sending us stories about ministry that takes place in the life of your church group. Write to us on the CentriKid Facebook page or email us anytime!
