In a previous post I wrote – “I am not prone to worry, and I don’t.” My grandfather and mother have always lived by the motto, “you just take it one day at a time.” I have inherited that gift from them. I don’t worry, I simply work hard. There is no benefit to worry so don’t.
My father died two years ago today (I am writing this post on March 24, 2010) and when I ask mom how she was doing she said, “just taking it one day at a time.” My grandfather had chronic back pain that caused him to take disability at an early age. If you ask him how he was doing he would say “taking it one day at a time.” They never complain never worried they just take life as it come and trust their heavenly father will watch over them. I try to live by the same motto, I have had two great examples.
We all know people who worry about things, relationships, bills, physical issues, and the list could go on but we have the assurance that Christ will not give us anything we can’t handle. So today, and every day just take it one day at a time.
