Today’s post is a guest post by Jen Hall. This is Jen’s fourth summer with CentriKid but her first summer to serve as an Assistant Director. This summer, Jen will serve at Georgetown College and in the fall she will join our CentriKid office team as the CentriKid intern. (and regular writer on this blog!)
This week camp begins for many CentriKid teams. For the last few weeks, I have been submerged in the world of camp planning. As a planner, I love to make sure I’ve thought about every possible detail and what needs to be done so that I don’t get thrown a curve ball. You know what’s best about camp? There WILL be curve balls 🙂 So all of the planning that my team has done to prepare still gives way when God has bigger plans. And man, do I love when He shows us His plans during the camp season.
I can think of many times over my camp career (this is my fourth summer as a CentriKid staffer) where my over-prepared mind gets blown away by the power of His plan. Lord, thank you for those moments. Showing me that no matter how much I plan, there’s only one plan that counts.
I’m so excited about ministering to kids and adults, building relationships with my team and serving them. That is my absolute favorite thing in the world. I’m so blessed to be able to spend the summer doing something that I love and believe in.
Please be in prayer this summer for Centri-Kid teams all across the United States. Thousands of kids and adults will be reached by the Gospel! Many updates will be coming your way soon!
